Listen up, dear readers: we have a very important alert for anyone holding EOS.
If you hold EOS, and have not done so yet, you need to register your EOS tokens as soon as possible. If you do not do do, the tokens you have now will become worthless in June.
Why? Well, Tlthe EOS tokens you have are ERC-20 tokens, tokens issued for the EOS ICO on the ethereum blockchain.
The blockchain goes live in June and you will need the real EOS tokens they will issue to use on the mainnet. (Side note: some cryptocurrencies function on a “testnet” at first, before they go live on the “mainnet.”)
At that time, the placeholder tokens you have now will be useless and worthless.
The easiest way to do this, you ask? Binance.
Binance recently announced support for the EOS token swap: if your tokens are left on Binance during this sensitive time, they will exchange your ERC-20 tokens for you. I know, I know, we at Crypto Mouse typically never recommend leaving your tokens on an exchange, but this is as easy as it gets, especially if you feel unsure about how to complete the registration process using MyEtherWallet or Metamask.
Kindly note, dear readers, you must leave your EOS on Binance (or MyEtherWallet or Metamask if you registered them there) until after the accounts are credited in June.
